Prospectus for Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib College of Nursing will be prepared for the students seeking admission. The prospectus will have:
- Annual Intake of Students (45 students per year)
- Admission Criteria-term and condition for admission
- Selection committee
- Health service to be provided for the students
- Training programme
BSc Nursing (Basic) - 40 Seats
Eligibility : 10+2 from a recognised board or university with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with Min. 45% Aggregate Marks
Age : 17 years on or before 31st Dec of the year of admission
Syllabus : As per INC
Duration : Four years (4 years)
Examination Schedule : As per Notification of B.F.U.H.S. and INC
G.N.M. (General Nursing & Midwifery) - 40 Seats
Eligibility : 10+2 Pass, or equivalent from recognized board. Min. 40% aggregate marks. 5% Relaxable for SC & ST. Preference to candidates with science in 10+2.
Age : 17-35 yrs on 31st December, from the year of admission.
Syllabus : As per INC
Duration : Three and a half year (3 ½ years)
Examination Schedule : As per PNRC
Post Basic - 20 Seats
Eligibility : g.n.m from recognised university. Min 40% aggregate marks. 5% rerlaxation for sc & st
Age : 17-35 yrs on 31st December, from the year of admission.

Duration : Two year (2 years)
Examination Schedule : As per PNRC
OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
The nurses after completing the Graduate Nursing & Midwifery Diploma Program (G.N.M Diploma Program) the graduates are expected to:
- Demonstrate skills required in the nursing process.
- Assess the health need of individual, facilities through out their life from birth to death.
- Plan appropriate action to help people retain or sustains their best possible level of health in all circumstances.
- Demonstrate skill in human relationship, effective communication and problem solving methods.
- Demonstrate skills in mobilizing community resources of other health care providers.
- Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the professional behavior of professional organizations, personal and professional growth.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and decision making abilities in various situations.
- Practice ethical values in their personal and professional life.
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing and health care activities.
- Practice professionally at the beginning level and will promote safe, supportive and therapeutic environment.
- Develop caring relationship with patients and families experiencing chronic health challenges.
- Use decision-making models to guide nursing care.
- Value the complexity of relationship within families.
- Apply knowledge from the humanities, biological and behavioral sciences in functioning as a nurse.
