The faculty of SGHSCN comprises of sincere and dedicated individuals who identify the potential of every student and mould their way of teaching to suit everyone's needs. They realize the huge responsibility they have – of training future nurses and health care professionals who would be further in charge of actual patients and lives. Our faculty is highly qualified and experts at their chosen fields.


Their guidance and experience gives the education of the students a more informative, beneficial and interesting layer and the students come back for guidance even after they have passed out from our institute.


The functions and roles of the faculty are:

  • Maintaining records properly an accurately.
  • Refining these periodic reports and making them ready to be given to the controlling authority, from the Nursing Councils of State and the National level.
  • Curriculum organization as well as administration.
  • Participating actively in all teaching program.
  • Evaluating the total program periodically.
  • Being innovative and setting standards for yourself, the students and the college and then raising the bar.
  • Recruiting the perfect staff based on the controlling authority's policies.
  • Making the budget of the college and recommending some reforms to controlling authority on this matter.
  • Realistic policies must be formed and carried out that are related to the staff, program and the students.
  • Determining the requirement of the staff.
  • Preparing job descriptions for the staff members after employing careful consideration and sense, and making sure they are carried out.
  • Participation in the planning of controlling authority, that is associated with the School of Nursing.
  • Developing and implementing a continued in-service education plan catered to the staff.
  • Recruiting and selecting of students based on the controlling authority's policy.
  • Contributing to the planning of the nursing services that the students will undergo in clinical areas where they are employed.
  • The present training aids and material must be scrutinized and evaluated regularly to modernize and upgrade them. This is important so that these things are in accordance with the national and international facilities.
  • Interpreting the education of nursing and health care and the associated disciplines for the benefit of public, so that you can describe it to them.
