| The Management of Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib Charitable Hospital Trust and all its employees committed to provide quality training both in the classrooms and in the field to its students to enable them to Provide Quality Services in the field of Nursing Nationally and Internationally. The School will provide all the required facilities, training aids, material etc. and create a healthy environment to facilities students to benefit most, not only in field of their specific profession but in overall development. This will gear up the health needs of the individual, family, community and the county at large. |

The main aims of the school of nursing programme are:
- To prepare nurses with the sound educational programme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team, beginning with the competencies for first level position in all kinds of health care settings.
- To help nurses to develop an ability to cooperate and coordinate with members of the health team in the prevention of disease, promotion of health and rehabilitation of the sick.
- To help nurses in their personal and professional development so that they are able to make maximum contribution to the society as useful and productive individuals, citizen as well as efficient nurses.
- To serve as the base for further professional education and specialization in nursing.
- To prepare nurses to keep pace with latest professional and technological development and use these for providing nursing care services.

FUNCTIONAL PLAN
For 50 seats every year (150 in three years)
All physical facilities/ infrastructure have been arranged for the smooth functioning of the School. Facilities have been added for G.N.M Three year's diploma course in following manner. |

Classrooms with sufficient space for 50 students. All the teaching aids i.e. Overhead Projector, White Board, Flip Chart Stand etc. |

Equipped with required equipment i.e. adequate seating arrangements, journals, magazines, books and computer facilities with Internet.

| EQUIPMENT PLAN Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib School of Nursing is equipped to provide quality nursing education. It provides adequate number of equipments as per PNRC/INC guidelines to enable each student to have adequate training with various modalities of delivering healthcare services. It is also proposed to have well equipped computer laboratories with Internet facilities to train the student's nurses with all current information. |

Students are comfortably accommodated. Presently we have enough accommodation for hostel students. Later on suitable accommodation will be constructed accordingly. |

BUILDING PLAN
The SGHS School of Nursing has its own building according to the norms laid by the University and INC, Delhi. Total land planned for Institution and Hostel is 4 ½ Acre. The School building has sufficient constructed area with proper ventilation, electric fitting, Sanitary & related infrastructure.
The trust has also planned new construction of the hostel for the students within the same complex. Time being we had made an arrangement for the stay of the students.
HEALTH SERVICES PLAN FOR THE STUDENTS
Health services plan will be made available by the School in the parent hospital at concessional rates.
This include:
- Medical examination at the admission, only medically fit students get admission ticket.
- Annual medical checkup
- Vaccination against typhoid, cholera, and other communicable diseases will be given to the students.
A complete health record of the students is maintained by the School. |
